Fundraising Officer - Role Overview
This is an exciting time to join YMCA Burton’s fundraising & comms team as we grow and develop our team & income generation. We are a small team and so it is important that you have a positive attitude and willing to get stuck in and help each other with a range of fundraising ideas, events, and activities. We are also a supportive team who work closely together. We also cover the areas of marketing and comms for the Charity. If this is something, you enjoy then you will enjoy being part of our team.
We are looking for someone who has a minimum 12 months fundraising and events experience and who will bring new ideas and skills to our team. We want to know how you raised funds previously, the successes and challenges you faced, plus any lessons learned along the way. We are interested in you, what motivates & inspires you. What excites you about this role and why you want to work for YMCA Burton.
Our role is about raising the profile of our Charity and generating much needed income. We are looking for someone who believes in making a difference to the lives of others and is enthusiastic about the cause. We need someone who has great organisational skills, values integrity & accountability with great people skills and an approachable manner. The ability to communicate well, verbally & in writing is essential, plus the skills to influence, engage and inspire others.
The role is full time/35 hours per week
Salary £25-27k dependent on experience
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
Birthday day off.
